Day 11: Rules to Live By

Let the cat stand on you and purr.

Hit snooze only once.

Read your email and check Five Every Day.

Get out of bed 30 minutes after you wake up.

Feed the cat immediately, before he gives up on life altogether.

Make the bed.

Pee.

Weigh yourself and record the result in your weighted trend tracking software of choice.

Shower every other day.

Wash your face and apply sunscreen.

Apply deodorant.

Take two kinds of allergy medicine.

Cook egg whites in butter.

Add salt and hot sauce.

Drink three nalgenes of water every day.

Make a to-do list for the day, after reviewing what you did not do yesterday, what you must do today, and what you put in your planner on Sunday.

Every Sunday, plan the upcoming week in your journal.

Record every scrap of work in Toggl.

Write every day.

Write with Galen on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Publish every day.

First thing in the morning, three times a week, do a 35 minute bodyweight workout in your living room.

Hold the last stretch for a while and say thank you.

Record the workouts in Endomondo.

Every Friday write down the things that went well this week.

Every Monday at 8 am, call your mastermind group and tell them what you want to do this week.

Adhere to the elaborate but perfect cleaning schedule you have set for yourself.

Every night put things away.

Do the dishes.

Lock the doors.

Brush your teeth and wash your face.

Apply unguents to your soft face.

On the last day of every month, invoice everyone for whom you have worked.

Review and organize your expenses for the month.

Review and organize your income for the month.

Make a note of how well you are doing in the most important parts of your life.

Every Tuesday, get on your bike and go to Black Dog Coffee.

Review your YNAB accounts and reconcile them.

Research better money management.

Take care of your finances for two hours over a mint mocha frappucino.

Wednesdays at 3 pm, stay home and do the same, but with Paul.

Thursdays at four, have rehearsal with Mad King Thomas.

Every night set your alarm for 8 a.m.

Plug in your phone.

Floss your teeth.

Read your book.

Turn away and go to sleep, one foot touching Paul and one foot touching the cat.

Every New Year's Day, be where you want to be the most this year.

When you are hungry AND you have another problem, take care of the hunger first.
